Established in 1950 and still a family run business. In
1996 the company moved into a 5000square foot purpose
built EU approved building and employ a number of full-time
and part-time (seasonal) workers.
Our
principal products are cockles and laverbread which we
process in Penclawdd on a daily basis, utilizing the most
modern and up to date machinery in order to cope with
the ongoing increase in demand. The finished product is
transported in our refrigerated vehicle to retail outlets
and wholesale merchants throughout the country.
On the 29th may 1999 Her Majesty The Queen and the Duke
of Edinburgh visited the factory. It was a great honour
for us to have shown them around the factory and the way
we work.
Selwyns Penclawdd Seafoods is a family run business with
